Abstract
According to the restriction of railway passenger station construction condition and the con⁃
struction requirement of harmonious with city, the factors that affected passenger station site were divid⁃
ed into two kinds: hard factors and soft factors. The preliminary site selection scheme set was obtained
by comparing the hard factors. And adding the urban public traffic network capacity into the soft factors,
combined with the two soft factors of station capacity and funding constraints, taking the minimum cost
of passenger travel, station construction, station operation and urban transit operation as the goal, 0-1 in⁃
teger programming model was established. Taking the actual situation of one city for instance, the model
was built. Using Lingo software, the passenger station site selection scheme and the additional scheme of
bus and subway train in urban public traffic network were obtained. The result of the model shows that
the optimal scheme is that the two original passenger stations need transforming and a new passenger sta⁃
tion will be built in suburb. A certain number of buses and subway trains need increasing to meet the
travel requirements of passengers travelling from the corresponding travel areas to three high-speed rail⁃
way passenger stations. The example demonstrates that the scheme is in line with the actual situation.
