在设计指路标志时，应当重点关注交通参与者信息需求与供给是否相互匹配。围绕交通参 与者信息需求与供给关系，研究部分地区（北京、上海、武汉及南京） 和部分国家（中国、美 国、日本及英国） 的城市道路交叉口指路标志，剖析不同版面设计形式的标志传递信息的特点， 包括传递种类和传递方式，梳理出一些可供借鉴的标志版面设计理念：（1） 指路标志服务的主要 对象对区域路网有一定的认识但不熟悉，指路标志为其提供必要的道路信息和地点信息，同时避 免信息过载；（2） 指路标志应当传递交叉口交叉道路的名称或编号、外围交叉道路的名称或编 号、交叉口周边重要地点名称等；（3） 交通信息应多以图案形式进行传递，将交叉口图形化，并 将交叉道路的名称或编号标注在交叉口图形内；（4） 可使用不同颜色对交通信息进行分级，提高 标志视认性。

In design of traffic guide sign, the designers should pay more attention to whether the traffic participants′ information demand fits with information supply or not. Targeting the relationship between information demand and information supply, contrastive analysis was applied to study the traffic guide signs at urban road intersections in several districts (e.g. Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan and Nanjing) and countries (e.g. China, U.S.A., Japan and UK). The information transferring characteristics of traffic guide signs with different layouts were analyzed, such as the transmittal types and modes. Based on the charac⁃ teristics, some concept that could be referred to in traffic guide sign layout design is proposed: (1) the main service objects of traffic guide signs should have certain understanding but not be familiar with the area road network, therefore the signs provide the necessary information including roads and locations and the information should avoid overload; (2) traffic guide signs should transmit the information includ⁃ ing the names or numbers of the roads crossing the intersection, the names or numbers of the roads cross⁃ ing at periphery and the name of place around the intersection; (3) traffic information should be transmit⁃ ted through the graphic patterns, and the names or numbers of roads crossing the intersection should be marked into the graphics of intersection; (4) traffic information could be classified by different colors to improve the visual cognition of signs.
