从综合交通运输理论发展演进着手，划分四个阶段深入分析综合交通运输理论发展的时代背景、理论研究重点及方向，总结不同发展阶段理论研究的演变特征。结合新时代的发展形势、特点，研究提出新时代具有中国特色的综合交通运输理论框架体系的“四梁八柱”，着眼于交通运输行业自身发展，围绕综合交通运输基础设施、运输服务、协同管理和技术经济特征四大关键要素，提出“4”大自身理论;着眼于服务现代化强国建设，从中国式现代化内涵与本质特征出发，围绕“五位一体”总体布局和保障军事、服务外交、科技创新引领等，提出“8”大外部理论，共同构建形成“4+8”综合交通运输理论框架体系。研究成果为进一步深化综合交通运输理论研究、方法研究奠定了基础。

Starting from the development and evolution of comprehensive transportation theory, this paper analyzed the era background, theoretical research focus and direction of the development of comprehensive transportation theory in four stages, and summed up the evolution characteristics of theoretical research in different development stages. Combined with the development situation and characteristics of the new era, it studied and proposed the "four beams and eight pillars" of the comprehensive transport theoretical framework system with Chinese characteristics in the new era. Focusing on the self-development of the transportation industry, four self theories were proposed around the four key elements of comprehensive transportation infrastructure, transportation services, collaborative management, and technological and economic characteristics. Focusing on serving the construction of a modern and powerful country, starting from the connotation and essential characteristics of Chinese path to modernization, eight external theories were proposed around the overall layout of "five in one" and the guarantee of military, service diplomacy, and scientific and technological innovation, etc. The above contents jointly built the "4+8" comprehensive transportation theoretical framework system. The research results have laid a foundation for further deepening the theoretical and methodological research of integrated transportation.
