Experience of Accessible Transport Construction in Developed Countries and Its Enlightenment to China

Abstract

In order to promote the scientific and orderly development of China′s accessible transport construction, the development status and experience of accessible transport in the United States, Japan and some other developed countries were summarized from aspects of laws and regulations system construction, implementation mechanism and construction practice. Combined with the current situation and existing problems of accessible transport environment in China, some suggestions were put forward to continuously improve China′s accessibility service system, referencing the relative experience of some developed countries. The suggestions focused on the construction of laws and regulations system of accessible transport, establishing a multi-subject supervision and promotion mechanism, strengthening the research on accessible technology of traffic facilities and equipment, and improving the universality and systematicness of accessible transport system.
