Based on the current demand for the development of accessible transport services, this article starts from the review of extant studies of accessible transport and inclusive development, discusses the issues in current accessible transport development in China, and highlights that taking the accessible trip as a complete "journey chain" shall encourage a more inclusive and people-oriented development of accessible transport. By following four principles such as all-group coverage, all-phase coverage, systematic planning and "people-oriented development" accessible design, this article proposes to include the improvement of "accessible trip" and "accessible neighborhood" in the development of accessible transport. This article argues that the improvement of the accessible space design, the improvement of inclusively legal and regulative system, active collaboration among related parties, and the establishment of collaborating platform promoting inclusiveness are essential for the long-term development of accessible transport environment.
